Know Where to Go - For Our Children, Our Future

Our campaign titled “Know where to go - For our children, our future” has been officially launched. This is an initiative to ensure that the directory of service providers is known by all stakeholders. We also want to prompt a dialogue on current intervention programs that are there to serve children and how service providers can use these more effectively. The campaign will be rolled out country wide, with regular updates on new developments.

The Children Services Directory is a listing of non-profit organisations (NPOs) and governmental organisations that are working in South Africa to address the needs of orphaned and other vulnerable children (OVC).

The directory will be accessible in four ways:

1. Online: Information for NPOs in all provinces will be available online through the websites of cooperating organisations.
2. Hard Copy: A limited number for each province will be distributed to listed OVC NPOs, other organisations, and to government.
3. CD-Rom: A set of PDF files of all provinces that may be printed out or copied to a computer for your convenience.
4. SMS-like Service: Information on NPOs from all nine provinces will be available through cellular technology for a low cost.
