During the MRC/HIVAN KZN AIDS Forum, held on 29 November 2011, HIVAN hosted two presentations.
The first, by Odette Geldenhuys of ProBono.Org, focused on HIV/AIDS and the Law, with a case study on the All Pass case. This presentation focused on stigma and discrimination within the workplace.
The second presentation, by Jose Almeida of Sida Education, focused on Master AIDS. Master
AIDS is an innovative and exciting new interactive life-skills board
game based on the book ‘Choices’, written by David Patient and Neil Orr
(Jacana Media). Master AIDS is focused on
increasing people’s knowledge around HIV /AIDS. The game is based on
the popular children’s game Snakes and Ladders and comes with all the
materials needed to make it a fun and informative teaching aide.

Attendees at the MRC/HIVAN KZN AIDS Forum all showed their support for World AIDS Day by donning red gloves, for the Right to Care Show your Hand World AIDS Day Campaign. You can read more about this campaign here
